November: Legacy of the Leopards

November unveils a new chapter in the wildlife legacy at Elephant Plains as Tiyani’s newest cub makes its first appearance. Born on the 2nd of August, the cub is a male, continuing the lineage through the Tortoise Pan male leopard, son of the Inyathini male. Tiyani – derived from the Shangaan word for Strong One – was born to the Salayexe female, and was sired by the Tingana male. This new life symbolizes the intricate balance and timeless beauty of nature, echoing through the generations. As stewards of this wilderness, Elephant Plains celebrates the cycle of life and the continuation of this majestic lineage, fostering a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of all living beings within the Greater Kruger.
